The WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU concerns the proper disposal of used electronics. The objectives of this Directive are: to preserve, protect and improve the quality of the environment, to protect human health, and to utilise natural resources prudently and rationally. In compliance with the Directive, Lexmark has launched a communication campaign to educate our employees, partners and customers about WEEE recycling procedures. Each of Lexmark’s products with electronic content 'are now labelled as per WEEE specifications and are in accordance with the European Standard EN50419.
