Lexmark’s Compliance with Directive 2012/19/EU
The WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU concerns the proper disposal of used electronics. The objectives of this Directive are: to preserve, protect and improve the quality of the environment, to protect human health, and to utilise natural resources prudently and rationally. WEEE became European Law in 2003, covering many electronic products; in 2012, WEEE was expanded to include many consumable related products with electrical content. The updated Directive (2012/19/EU) contains several new obligations imposed on producers of electrical and electronic equipment.

We continue to develop products, features and solutions that offer our customers opportunities to reduce the environmental impact of their printing and imaging activities.
